No Colorado gardeners? zones 5b through 6?

We're blessed with a unique growing environment, are we not?

I saw a lot of people from colorado while searching the members list, but I haven't seen any of 'em writing in the forums yet except me. Just curious if there are any other people that live near me. And it's a weird growing environment because we're sooo close to the sun, we get hail every couple of weeks even in the summer, and most of us get a ton of rain, but all at once. I read somewhere that Colorado Springs receives more rainfall annually than Seattle...the only problem is, that moisture comes in 4 days of rain. LOL! Then it evaporates after a few days.
And when it snows here, most of it is lost to evaporation as well....
I was being facetious when I said we were blessed. LOL. But it's not that bad either.

I'm in zone 6a but we don't have those knd of weather patterns. I bet there's some beautiful natives that grow there, tough plants. That's a beautiful state you live in.

Thank you. Yes it is. And there are some really rare native plants, some really truly beautiful ones.
