Hosta leaves turning yellow

Some of my hosta leaves are turning yellow. I water them once a day, could they still be too dry?

I find the heat affects mine this time of the season and they start to yellow. Do they get afternoon sun? It could be too much for them.

Sounds like way too much water.....I never water mine....ever, and they are just fine....even in the heat.

Not cold here by a long-shot!!! It has been in the mid 90s this week. Maybe they are probably just too hot.

Don't feel bad....I over-watered mine also.
It's looking pretty rough, and I'm not sure it's going to come back. Was trying to revive the little guy to put back into the yard....but I think it's future has more to do with the compost pile then anything.

Good luck!

Hi
We have had a heat wave here and the ground is like dust......I have not given mine a drop of water. Most varieties are growing in full sun.
I have never watered them...other that rain of course.
They would turn brown, not yellow, if too dry. Yellow means too wet.
If you know the name of yours, just "Google" them to see what the experts have to say.

Thanks, I have thought about googling it, but it seems that people with experience trumps people with "degrees", if you know what I mean. :-)
