X-mas crafts

Anyone make homemade ornaments or garlands, wreaths for X-mas? Lets hear about them! I once made salt dough cookie ornaments painted, put glitter on, also made a homemade gingerbread house, whey back about 20 yrs ago! UGH! Still mess with wreaths sometimes!

I used to make ceramic pieces, both as gifts and Christmas decorations.

Last year we (the kids and I) made ornaments out of blown light bulbs. We made reindeer, santas and snowman faces out of them. We also made the sled and north pole signs out of popcicle sticks. We covered foam balls in acorns and put a bow on them. hmmm, gotta dig that stuff out so I can see what else we made. lol It was loads of fun though!!!

Oh, good thread! I cut pine branches and make fresh garland for my porch wth big red bows. I also make wreaths every few years.
I do a lot of homemade gifts, and lots of fresh homemade goodies...mmmm

Crafting is fun at the holidays, I like to get little crafty things for the kids to make too. We've done up a lot of cute little ornaments from the tree. One cute is making sleds out of popsicle sticks.

We make real pine wreaths too from the cuttings of the tree that we buy (and everyone else's hehehe). I just haven't perfected it yet! They always look sort of pitiful. ROFL One day I will get it right though! I love the way they make the house smell so we always make 4 of them and then stash cinnamon scented pine cones here and there too. Oh I love the smell of the holidays. sigh...

Red faceIm back

Hi, I like crafts also .One year I did red, yellow, blue, green, light bulb necklaces with jinglebells and beads. It look like lights .I also would like to do this but my family never has the time.I would like to make gingerbread houses and ask family and friends over and have each family bring 3 or 4 bags of candy and do gingerbread houses as a group I think that this would be a blast. When we were done we could take them to the retirement home or the disabled or maybe to a childrens hospital.Im going to die I just clicked on the wrong button and just erased everything on my comp. sence 11-22-2008. O-@#*#
Thats just great Im so tired I need to go to bed I cant even spell Im going to bed Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.GOBBLE GOBBLE
