WIP Mom's turtle

My mom sent me this turtle last year and it was already losing it's paint and was starting to deteriorate. I brought him in and started painting him so I could keep him a little longer. He's a funny looking turtle but I can't get rid of something my mom gave me. Plus, he looks great with a plant sitting on top of him in the summer. Here's what he looks like right now.

Oh I like that! I can see why you want to keep him. He would look very nice with a plant on top! I can't wait to see what he is going to look like when you are done!

I think he is very odd looking but I love him. I put my wandering jew on top of him last year and it draped all over the top part of it and even in some places to the ground and it looked really nice. He will look better this year with his new coat of paint.

Thanks
Deb

How cute is that little guy?
Bet he is even cuter with a plant perched on his tuffet.

He looks great! Very happy with his new coat of paint. You've done a wonderful job.

I do sit it next to the pond. That's a very good idea saba. He's good size, depending on if I ate my wheaties or not, carrying him can give me fits. He's tall enough that I could sit him between 2 chairs and use his tuffet as a table top if I wanted to. We already have a frog that spits into the pond. That's kind of became our code word around here for spring is here. When you hear " The frog is spitting" you know the pond is running and spring is here.

The frog is already spitting. I always get him going early. Makes me happy to see the pond going and I know warmer days are coming!!
