SmileTrash to treasure garden decor

I don't know how well this is gonna work, but I got a cheap dollar hanging metal basket that needed moss ,so cheapie me, clipped off a bunch of dead butterfy bush flowers about 8in. long and lined the basket, put some petunias in we'll see looks ok. I have always been into trash to treasure on HGTV.I enjoy trying to do the recycle thing. Just bought a bowling ball for a dollar and want to try and make my own mosaic ball for the yard. Anyone have any tips on this?

There's nothing I like better than a bargain...unless it is a bargain I can make into something cool! I don't have a clue about mosaics, but good luck!! YEAH ANG!

Check it out........

These are all out in my yard right now. I have tiles and nippers because I want to put tiles on another bowling ball. I used clear silicone to glue the pieces on. The mirrored ball is grouted in between the pieces of mirror. I have another one done except for sealing it. I think the tile one is going to be fun to work on. If you have any questions, if I can help you with them, I surely will. All you have to do is ask.
Check these out also....got bunk beds from freecycle.....now benches for my yard........

new one

I have bought small glass light shades, and attached to a old windchime tube and stuck in the yard with a small spider plant, put a little ribbon on, then took another small glass shade and siliconed it to I guess a wooden candle holder and I'm gonna put a small plant in that next. I just love trash to treasure projects, although sometimes things don't work right the first time ya got to experiment.Hey maybe we can get plant swap to get another little forum for us crafters? You all vote if ya want. I saw zuzu had some cool glass items in her yard?

crafty gardeners

Wow , we have a lot of crafty people! I have always loved crafting and 're-styling' an object into something else. But, I have been shy to try doing it for anything outside .... fearful of my neighbors seeing my bad attempts I guess.

So, I love the idea of a separate area for garden craft projects, etc.! Maybe I could get some courage to give it a try.

I'm a junker too! lol! Right now I'm working on Flowers out of the tops of plastic Soda bottles! They are awesome, I'm gonna stick them in the ground here and there around my flower beds and in pots. Having a forum just for crafting would be awesome, somewhere we could share our ideas and neat projects!

I love the idea of posting a craft section.

I was thinking the same thing awhile back. Just never thought of saying it on here. I love the bowling balls. Now I have more things to look for at yard sales. If we had a forum just for crafting, we could all share our projects and ideas. I hope that one gets started. How do you do this? Get one started I mean? Send a pm to plantswap?
