I saw JDKlines mosaic ball I think it was yours) and thought I'd like to show my garden mosaics too. I did not make these my friend Diane did.

Love em!! I have the tools, the tiles, the grout, everything I need to mosiac something.

I just havent started it yet. I just thought while Iwas reading this thread though ,that I did get a bird house the other day. Its wood, no paint , nothing fancy. I bet it could be fancy if I mosaic it huh? I slammed my thumb in a car door about a month ago. I"m trying to give it time to heal before I start using it alot. Dont know how much I would have to use it since I have never worked with tile before. I'm thinking I'll take some before and after pics.

I did a few small flower pots in the past, actually held up, til a day ago my crazy puppy slammed against my shelf and one fell over and broke.That doggie#$%^&&***! I also did an old plastic topped table that had got a crack, tiled the top still aok, to put plants on in the yard. Then I got a free trash bag full of old blue and white tiles from an ad someone gave away, they have gunk on the back so its hard, but I did the tops of 2 old nightstand for my sunporch, look ok. I love the look of mosaics. Very pretty pictures Wrennie, your friend did a great job! Love them!

My other friend owns a store near mine and he gets broken pottery in every now and then. He saves it for me to send to her. The recent breakage has really cute birds on it.
Just another idea for a free source for 'tiles'.

Heres my potting bench that I started a mosaic on yesterday. I think it needs some red in it and I need to find some red tiles.

Good start!!! yes i agree..you need red and or orange would look nice. Cant wait to see it finished!!! I was thinking about doing that to my bench too.
