Water iris

I have located a sizable bog of yellow water irises by the railroad track. How invasive are they. I have friends with a small lake and was considering offering some to them, but don't want to get killed if they take over the entire lake.

I'd appreciate any advise.

Here they can be invasive

I see them in boggy ditches all the time. I have some in my small pond now, but I've throw away a good bit over the years as they would multiply.

Yes, and guess you've answered my question. As to sharing them, I guess I'd have to say "Never mind!"

Thanks.
