Cool

Thanks GG/unicorn......

Lady finch is correct. I see them all around .. Soon as the sun comes up. They are on those sunflowers.. I let them grow there each year, even tho it is a flower bed.

Nature contract?

Guess I missed that one....but everything I grow is for wildlife in one way or the other. My spring garden for next year will have a lot of flowers, but it's for the bees, birds and my family. Lots of color to be mixed in to get the attention of bees to help my plants produce.

I'm sure the birds will be all over the sunflowers I'll be planting, but I'm not much for sunflower seed eatin' anyway.

the little red finches/ or red sparrow,, cant remember what one they are called,

oh Gosh put out the thistle and those birds can sing they all stay all winter and so do the gold finches or wild canaries so called,, the red finches in my opinion outsing the dear little gold finches, and the males stay red all winter,, the gold finches dull out,, but if you start to feed when its cold they depend on that food to stay alive,, and they are bigger here than the dear little goldfinches,, i love hearing them all cheep,, i always know when they are at my feeders and my cardinals come , first ones in the early hours before daylight to eat the sunflower seeds, I love their little clicking chirps to their mates, they always come together,, sweet little birds,, love the red colored birds, and the bright yellow ones too,, what is the yellow one at your feeder, Gary,,? thats a pretty one too? blessings, beth

Loved those pics guys, wonderful! Those purple finches are really something to see, beautiful birds. We plant for ourselves, birds, butterflies and pollinators. Plus we have a variety of feeders. Love birdwatching, so rewarding.

beautiful birds ...I get so busy watching mine, I forget to take any pictures. I like the grosbeak you got, we get them occasionally, not as often as I'd like. The blue jays tend to control everything out there.

The little finches are fun, citter chitter all day! We also get cow birds, should call them horse birds, they follow my horses all day long.
