yes it does grow funny and is growing in IND I have family there and they want to know what it is & I didn't know

I think this is it's leaf you can see a lot of little ones on the ground starting to grow like last picture

They are really cool plants, I remember seeing what seemed like an ocean of them in the woods I used to play in when I was a kid - wish there were some growing in my wooded lot here.
