Lol it was me who said eggplant.

It looks like a type of solanum plant because the blossoms are identical to my solanum pseudocapsicum from the nightshade family!

Now that we can see the flowers, it's not Clerodendrum.

Solanum is likely. Don't forget that Eggplant IS one.

Well being I never planted any eggplant seeds the mystery remains. Once the other buds open do I need to pollinate them?

No way to know the answer to that Lig, until you see if they drop or not....lol. Nope, the leaves don't look like any of my solanum plants but the blossoms definitely do.

My guess is that they will be self-pollinating because every one of my solanum varieties, which Tsilentseed also has, are self-fruiting.

I would like some seeds from the fruits Lig...of whatever that ends up being.

I am baffled by this.

Lig, I found a flowering begonia in our hanging baskets of wave petunias this fall. We bought the waves at a greenhouse. Either a bird pooped a begonia seed in our basket or it was in the soil. Who knows. It's fun to see mystery plants.

OK so now that I dropped it into the image search it's confirmed to be in the nightshade family. Now to figure out what genus it is
