QuestionDoes anyone know what this is?

I feel like a bit of an idiot because I should know what this is, but I don't.

It's a mystery seedling!

It's coming up in a pot I sowed some coleus seeds in.

No coleus germination just yet but this cute little blade has come up. I wonder if anyone might know what it is? If not, I guess I'll just show more pictures as it grows and develops.

Thanks, Raccoon and Tess.

Well where the heck did a calla seed come from?! I don't have calla seeds. Maybe it was in the soil bag because it's not one of mine.

At first I thought it was my dwarf canna but I have no seeds and I've never devided the roots.

This is very strange indeed. I guess we'll have to continue to watch it grow. I've got it under my fluorescent light and it loves it...I can tell.

Growing really fast too...that's the other thing. The blade was a tiny thing yesterday morning. Now look at it!!

I just hope I haven't started a thread about a weed!!!

Pretty sure its a type of lily but I could very well be wrong too. How tall is it, have you measured it, just curious.

No worries about who's right or who's wrong....it's fun to guess.

It's possible it's a lily of some kind. I do have lily seeds but I haven't had them out for some time. Wow, this is really cool. I can't wait to see the next leaf...

This morning I looked and the roots have sent up another blade beside the first one. See it there to the right?

Now I'm questioning whether this really is a lily. Hmmmmmm.

Guess we'll have to wait and see as it develops further.

Looks to me more like a tulip. I have tiger lilly and mine is more of a varigated color.

HBL, maybe its a cases of mislabeled seed pack.
Look at these tulip pics notice the leafs

Whatever it is, it better produce some flowers or food...and make it worth my while for growing it.

I will just die if this turns out to be an invasive weed!
