opuntia nubs. lol

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xjis_cWHk_...0/DSC01230.JPG
Here i s one of my opuntia. Last spring it spfouted this awkwardly placed pad. It drove me crazy so I plucked it off last month and rooted it. I thought it was probably done growing for the year. Last week I noticed a little action on the base pad. Do you think it would sprout 5 new pads?
Here's a picture from today...

Could it be flowers this late?

Very cool, I am sure that it will start sprouting all kinds of pads, I really should move mine outside so I will see more action. Mine have new pads forming inside though .

I guess the nubs are all going to be pads. 5 of them. There is one starting on its side. I'm so glad I clipped the awkward pad off.

Its growing like crazy. I'm so surprised. I've had it almost 2 years and all it did was grow one pad.
