mother of thousands


my mother of thousands is getting very tall i staked it and now its outgrew its stake . Can i cut it down to make it more bushy and replant the cut in a different pot ?

Yes it can be cut down some. and you can replant the piece you cut off. This is a very forgiving plant. But if you can stake it up some how it will probally bloom this year for you. Has a chandlier like bloom. very pretty.It will also make lots of babies for you. the little things on the end of the leaves are seeds you just throw them any were on top of the soil and they will grow.

ty mary , i didnt even know they bloomed . i was thinking if i cut it back the leaves would get bigger . but now i think i will wait on the bloom . it already has alot of babies surrounding it and they r getting tall also . ty for ur reply to my post

I have the same problem but they have flowers. I just want the plant to be smaller and aren't quite sure how to cut it back. Does anyone know how to do this?
