I just won this on listia. I am so excited.
I have wanted a miniature opuntia for a long time.

I once knew a lady in Wisconsin, who unfortunately is now deceased...she grew her prickly pear plants in containers outdoors over the warm months, but brought them inside each fall before frost, to grow in a heated sunporch.


Very excited for you, Pink! It's great that you've got some different varieties to grow. How cool is that. And to grow some from seed, will be a special treat!

Listia is a site to get rid of things you don't want....you get points to bid on things you do. I have picked up a ton of plants on that site. And a couple of my buddies here are also over there

omg. Look what came today!! I love listia again. I don't have any cactus soil, so I put it in dry screened mulch. I'll water it in a few weeks. I think it'll be okay until spring.
