Oh the thanksgiving and christmas are both Schlumbergera regardless of leaf shape.

Easter is related to rhipsalis. However its spelled. Its name is Rhipsalidopsis, close relative.
Christmas and thanksgiving cactus are NOT the same thing...one is smooth edged(christmas) the other is barbed(thanksgiving). Many times they are sold as one and the same but they are NOT the same plant.

thanksgiving and christmas are both Schlumbergera regardless of leaf shape. That webpage is outdated 2001.

it dos not matter what the dates are on the webpage the facts are the same.

They are still 2 differant types of cactus.

Bali...What a beauty!!!

Diane...We have twin plants!!

RR...thanks for straightening us all out.

I have called these plants what I called them by when they were purchased, blooming and the fact until last year they bloomed the same time every year. I am anxious to see what happens next with them!

And thanks to all for the Bucket update...I have pictures on Kodak and Snapfish, but had never heard of the others.

Nice to have so many helpful people here!!

I have a tiny easter cactus cutting that has been rooting for a couple months and has a few new leaves now, it is a red one..I love the leaves of this cacuts also..I been trying to find more of it for while now but it seems to be very hard to find.
